MINNEAPOLIS, May 6, 2016 — GateKeeper Systems, Inc., a leader in commercial vehicle management and parking access control systems for airports, today announced that the Kenton County Airport Board has implemented GateKeeper’s Commercial Vehicle Management (CVM) software at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).
As part of an RFID-based ground transportation system, GateKeeper’s CVM software automates many of the manual operational and administrative processes required to provide transportation for passengers arriving and leaving an airport.
The new systems utilize GateKeeper CVM software, as well as the externally facing GateKeeper GSIVendor and GateKeeperTNC-Ops software to comprehensively address ground transportation management for commercial vehicle operations. A key benefit for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport, currently the 54th busiest airport nationwide, is GateKeeper’s single solution which addresses both commercial vehicle operations as well as the operations of Uber and Lyft which are currently serving the airport.
To date, CVG has not had a complete Ground Transportation Management or Commercial Vehicle Management (CVM) system. With the growth in originating passengers, CVG has determined that landside elements such as parking, curb front and access roadways will require additional capacity.
“We are pleased to be a part of this major system implementation project in support of CVG’s 2035 Master Plan. Introducing a comprehensive technology based system will result in significant administrative and operational efficiencies for the airport staff and for the employees using the system,” said Lynn Richardson, President of GateKeeper Systems.
