Mineta San Jose Airport begins implementation of GateKeeper Commercial Vehicle Management Software
MINNEAPOLIS, April 1, 2014—GateKeeper Systems, Inc., a leader in commercial vehicle management and parking access control systems for airports, today announced that Mineta San Jose Airport will implement GateKeeper’s Commercial Vehicle Management (CVM) software.
The project involves replacement of existing third-party commercial vehicle management software to support changes in local regulations addressing fee collection/revenue and will be used to manage commercial vehicle operations as well as parking access for airport vehicles.
As part of an RFID-based ground transportation system, GateKeeper’s CVM software automates many of the manual operational and administrative processes required to provide transportation for passengers arriving and leaving an airport.
“We are pleased to note that the SJC system is our 5th airport installation in California. It will provide administrative and operation al efficiencies that will save both administrative and operational costs for the airport,” said Lynn Richardson, President of GateKeeper Systems.
The GateKeeper CVM software utilizes 41 lanes of RFID tags and Reader equipment that was provided by TransCore LLC, San Jose’s current supplier of RFID infrastructure. The software installation is scheduled to be completed by May 2015.
